Our class has seven pupils aged seven to 15. The class is led by a team consisting of special education teachers and staff from the Zahrada Integration Center. The pupils work according to their own individual plan and schedule, which includes group and individual learning, physical therapy, music therapy, ergotherapy, canine therapy, hippotherapy, water treatment, and art activities. When possible, we also go on walks and trips or visit the theater or concerts.

2023/2024 school year

Hi and welcome to the 2023/2024 school year. We’ll be joining Damiánek, Kristýnka, Štěpán, Terezka, Adam, Matěj, and now also Floriánek on a trip in search of salt. Just as a living organism cannot do without salt, so too the kids in our class can’t do without Miluška, Katka, and Romana, who will join us on our journey. And as we travel, we’ll be learning, singing, chatting, painting, going on walks, dipping in the whirlpool, exercising, and dreaming during music therapy and snoezelen. Salt is best in food, and it goes best with a sweet drink. After all – everything in moderation.

2022/2023 school year

Hi! We’ve all come together again at school after the summer holidays. We’re back in our original group: Damiánek, Štěpánek, Matěj, and Kristýnka. New this September are Terezka and Vláďa. The teaching team of Míša and Miluška has gotten a little younger thanks to the addition of Kateřina. We look forward to whatever the new school year has to offer. We’re going to learn, sing, talk, paint, go on walks, to the whirlpool, the gym, music therapy, and snoezelen. And of course we’ll eat and drink and have a good time.

2021/2022

This school year, our veteran pupils Editka, Štěpánek, and Damiánek were joined by Adam, Kristýnka, and Matěj. The teaching team has remained the same: Míša, Miluška, and Magda, with help from Petr and our teaching assistant Karolína. And just like last year, Boženka visits on Wednesdays for art.

We will spend the 2021/2022 school year being creative and working to put together an illustrated publication that we plan to present at the end of the school year. Let’s get to work, so that we’ll have something to write about!

2020/2021

After a longer forced intermission, we can again get together in the new school year: Editka, Míla, Štěpánek, Filip, and Damiánek, plus the shining star of our teachers Miluška. There have been a few changes in our group, with Klárka leaving and Jade joining us. Among teacher’s assistants, Petr is back again and we have a newcomer, Magda.

By all accounts, this year will be full of all kinds of challenges and difficulties, since we are still at risk from that invisible but all the more treacherous enemy, Covid-19, who is trying to keep us apart as much as possible. A knight’s medieval chain mail found beneath Vítkov Hill gives us the courage to fight. Our weapons are increased hygiene, and instead of armor we wear face masks.

I am optimistic that we can overcome all obstacles and, together, SET THINGS IN MOTION in whatever way we can.

2019/2020

Welcome back, everybody! This school year, our group is the same as last year.

Over the next ten months, we will be mostly visiting each other. We plan to forge closer bonds between colleagues, children, and parents. Some visits will be determined by draw, while others will be spontaneous, announced, or surprising. We will share information, opinions, knowledge, and gossip. We can laugh or argue, but the important thing is to be in contact. Let’s go!
