2017/2018
The kids in this class called “Vozová”
The boys and girls – all superstars.
And the teachers?
They try to keep up.
Come and see for yourself.
They say Lucie’s is the shortest day
But ours has been here since September, yay!
Just to be with her a while
Is enough to make you smile.
Veronika loves to go
Taking corners to and fro
She likes to be comfy and warm
That’s when she’s in her best form.
Evelína likes everything twice
Toys and bones and carts and ice.
Tábor, Trocnov, Znojmo too
And dolls to play with me and you.
Vojtěch, a.k.a. Adalbert
Was a famous saint.
He loves to clap both his hands
To the rhythm while we dance.
Nisanur has deep dark eyes
And hair like raven’s wings.
A soul as clear as the skies
That from the heavens sings.
František is a joyful one
Riding his wheelchair back and forth
He glows with mirth just like the sun
East, west, south, and also north.
Markéta is our classroom’s muse
She loves all music, yes!
Even the most modern tunes
Are pleasing to her ears.
Nina loves to dream
Of living in a yurt.
Amidst a garden oh so green
A doggie at her feet.
Pavel Hermann
Doggie, ratter, hound, and pooch
A little pack of smokes to boot
Making fire – he knows how
He’s strong enough to fight a cow.
Jana Hykešová
There’s not a thing that she can’t do
Always at the ready.
She calls her dog “Sisinku”
And her mother Emily.
Oldřiška Černá
She’s a whiz with gingerbread
Houses and kiwi birds, too.
She’s got a really clever head
An early bird, how ‘bout you?
Ondřej Novák
If he lived in the Hussites’ time,
He would ride their armored carts.
But since it’s today that he’s alive,
He likes music and the arts.
