Christmas
This year, we celebrated Christmas in a somewhat unconventional manner. The classrooms were decked out in Christmas decorations, the children enjoyed plates of vanilla cookies, and the air was filled with the scent of pine needles, herbs and frankincense, and so we spent our Christmas days with our pupils and their families – singing songs, watching theater performances, remembering the past year by looking at photographs, and of course by handing out presents.
The Christmas afternoon culminated in our garden, where we had erected a manger. Here, under a lit-up tree and in the light of the candles, we could… together and alone … in silence… and with music … let our hearts tune in to … … …
…this magic moment climaxed in a more down-to-earth but very pleasant moment. Warmed by the mulled wine, with out tummies full of potato soup, and smiles on our faces, we all parted ways happily to our homes.
